Studio Kitchen Burger recipe
The BBQ season is just around the corner and with weather improving, we will all be doing much more alfresco dining.
You can now recreate the most popular Studio Kitchen burger at home with a very simple recipe from our Head Chef, Georgi Saraivanov.
K West Burger Recipe
Ingredients (serves four)
500g good quality minced beef
1 small onion (or two shallots) finely chopped
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon sea salt, to taste
Fresh ground black pepper, to taste
½ teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
Get your BBQ ready and sizzling
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl; stir to mix with a wooden spoon (test the mixture for seasoning by sautéing a teaspoon of it in a non-stick pan until cooked through, then taste, add additional seasoning if required. The mixture should be highly seasoned).
- Divide the meat into 4 equal parts; lightly wet your hands with cold water, then form each portion into a patty 3 inches across and about ¾ inches thick
- When ready to grill arrange burgers on the bbq, flipping with a spatula until nicely browned on both sides and cooked through, about 4 minutes per side.
Burger Sauce
4 tbsp of mayonnaise
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tsp Dijon mustard
25g cornichons, drained and finely chopped
½ tsp Onion Powder
Pinch of salt
Pinch of sweet paprika
Add all of the ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir to combine. Adjust seasoning to preference.
To serve your burgers
Baby gem lettuce
Sliced good quality tomatoes — we recommend Buffalo tomato
Thinly sliced red onion
Brioche buns — slightly grilled for the best result
Our chef highly recommends adding a fried egg on top of the burger meat.
Enjoy!
